Getting S pipe and intake pipe.. any warnings?

Im getting a dejontool's S pipe for my car since it already has the L pipe installed. i am also getting the intake elbow thingy, i think i have to cut out part of my stock intake. All i wanna know is that is there any thing i should know b4 installing these items? Like what could posibly go wrong or what should i do? Also, i am gonna repaint my front strut bar red, will i effect anything by removing the strut bar? i dont think so... well anyways thanks for any hints or tips.

EDIT: oh yeah can i install that new intake by just leaning over the hood like normal or do i have to get under the car and clamp stuff? i should be able to install it by just leaning over the hood like always right?

Re: Getting S pipe and intake pipe.. any warnings?

I concur. All self explanatory once you get started and put your hand/eyeball on it. But if there is one way to possibly pork this project, its to leave junk in the intake pipe after cutting it. No matter how small and insignificant it may seem, even just rubber "dust" left after cutting it, at 120k+ rpm the turbo will not like it. And shit can hide in the intake for a long time and come out to hand you the sausage when you least expect it. Anyone on the DSMlink forums should have seen the thread where the guy had the nut come off his 16g, checked the intake and couldn't find anything, then a couple weeks/months later his brand new BB turbo gets shredded. The 16g nut was sitting there laughing at him while he bent over the fender. Moral of the story, don't leave shit in your intake. And if you think its clean, check again.
