hi every1, im nu here, and am very interested in getting a skyline. but, when i look for big twin kits like the 2835 for the gtr, i dont find anything, so im considering a supra too. so do they actually make an hks 2835r kit? or maybe even a 3037s? also, is it possible to mount two different sized turbos, like a 2510 or 30 for low end, and a 2835 or 3240 for a big ass top end?

You can mount sequential turbos, one small for quick spool up and one large for high end. The only problem is that once the smaller one cuts out and the big one is getting going, sense they are sequential, the larger one is still hindered by the small one If you want to do alot of drag racing I think that a large single is the way to go. But if you are going to make it your daily driver or put it on the track, the twin setup is the best. For the twin setup you can pick up a twin 2530 kit for around 2600USD. The 40s are like a hundred more. (In japan that is, add shipping to that )

P.S. were do you live? If your over in NZ or AU getting aftermarket stuff for the GTR shouldn't be that bad.

You can't fit sequential turbos to a GTR, the engine runs as two 3 cylinder engines and has 2 separate 3 port exhaust manifolds (2 afms etc).

Sequential turbos are a bad idea in general, as the plumbing is a nightmare and one turbo stalls the other if set up badly. As Gonthrax says the top-end power is also limited by the smaller turbo.

Ever seen a powerful Supra with sequentials.....? (6 cylinder engine and they came with sequential turbos as stock) Answer no - they all use big twins (2530,2835,3037) or huge single.

Hmmm I could have swarn I'd heard of someone fabing a custom intake, plenum, exhaust manifold ect and running sequentials... I could be mestaken though. I'll dig around and see if I can find it agian.

Not sure why you would want to do it though, twins or big single seems to work just fine

Try using a Japanese search engine....ie www.yahoo.ne.jp...then type in your turbos. And yes...they have twin 2835 kits and 3037 kits for the GTR. They use the same designations for the Supra and GTR in Japan. Buy the from someone over here...you buy a Supra kit stateside (especially the big ones) and you're going to pay at least TWICE what you would pay here.

try lookin into a kai51 ball bearing turbo....in the TURBO magizine on a stock internal....with upgraded feul asc. it dynoed an amazing 726 hp...thats plenty of power.....of course if you want more... nitrous oxide juice always helps
