2003 Dodge Caravan, horn will not shut off. I removed the two bolts that attach the horn pad and airbag and the horn works perfectly! As soon as I insert one of the bolts the horn starts to blast! Someone told me I need to replace the entire horn pad ($175). Is this possible on a 2003? I have 36,982 miles off course just out of warranty. With out the screws I can push the pad and the horn works fine. No airbag lights or check engine light comes on.
Thanks PFE |

Re: Horn wont shut off 2003 Caravan
To check the horn button:
Disconnect the horn/s. Then check for a stuck horn button by disconnectng the button and re-connecting the horn/s. If the horn is now silent, replace the horn button. If the horn is still blowing, disconnect the wire that goes to the horn button at the relay. If that doesn't shut it off, replace the relay. If disconnecting the wire shuts off the horn, check the horn button wire for a short to ground. Alvin |

If it walks like a clockspring and talks like a clockspring, it might be a clockspring. Dodge had a recall for it. That might be a good place to start.
