Unhappy Help RST!!...

Ok remember how i said my car runs now... well it runs now, but the oil isn't pumping into my heads. Do you know what can cause this? The oil pump is working and the car starts now, but there is no oil going into my head. Do you think its clogged up somewhere? I have 60psi for my oil pressure. =\

ok i have a 96 RS stock. ok i think i might of found the problem... my head is fcuked up and causing it not to get any oil into them. Its been like ever scince August 04" i been working on it... and we finally figured out what was wrong with my car just on Monday of Feb 05". =\ My lifters are making a loud knocking sound and i guess my heads isnt getting any motor oil thats what my dad said. so thats the case there. Ill check back to see if i need help =\ thanks

If you have the headgasket on upside down/backwards that would definately be the case! Other than that if your getting 60psi of oil pressure your pump is obviously working correctly.

ok it was the head that is messed up man. The dang head broke my cam key and everything... but yeah it might be the gasket that is blocking the oil.. but who knows. All i know is that im getting a brand new head w/ all new lifters, cames, etc.. =) i hope i get it done so i can have it ready for summer.


by the way.. can a 96RS equipped with AEM vs intake, 60mm throttle, headers + 2.25 piping with exhaust be fast enough to smoke some hondas? like vtec? or just get make a turbo kit?

What could possibly be "messed up" about a head that limits oil flow to the cams? Its chunk of aluminum, not sure what could go wrong there. The gasket things seems much more likely, but only if you had changed it when the problem started, in which case, I would hope you would have suspected the HG swap right away. I could see one passage blocking up, but not all of them.

man i don't even know what caused it to do that. but i know that the first oil pump wasn't even working =\ but i think it might of clogged up or something.. it wore out where the cam shaft meets the cam gears. I was all scatched up and also broke my cam key. But now i know that im getting a brand SPANKING NEW head w/ everything. =)
