I've ran a few autoX and Solo2 but no curcuits. I know that there are different categories so even in stock form you could race it. as far as mods. Brakes are most important. then suspension and then everything else. seriously all it takes to run good track times is a good driver. you might wanna invest in some good pedals and a good shift set. you'll be using them non-stop. work on your foot work. learn to corner, weight distribution is the key to staying on the race line. Clutch is supper important, you want a clutch that wont fail you. as far as power goes only your imagination and your wallet can limit you. but like I said even with the 320hp stock you'll still have a category that will match you up against evenly capable cars.
oh yeah, I forgot the the most basic component....tires.
