Looking at getting a Sunfire...

I am debating on getting a 98+ Sunfire. I will be selling my mustang and need something good on gas. My stepdad owned a 98 Sunfire GT when I was 17 I liked the car got 30mpg and was peppy. My question is whats better for performance upgrades the 2.2 or the 2.4? I like the 2.4 from the factory but I can not find a turbo kit for it like I did for the 2.2. Does anyone make a turbo? Which would you suggest as far as modifying? I am looking to build the car to compete with imports and the SRT4.
Thanks

Re: Looking at getting a Sunfire...

Buy a 03 or 04 sunfire with the 2.2L ecotec and slap a stage 2 turbo on it, with no other modifications and the SRT-4's (aka overglorified neons) will be eating ur dust, depending of course on your driving ability.

Re: Looking at getting a Sunfire...

How is the handling of the 03-04 Sunfire SE compared to the GT?
