clicking sound
I used my four wheel drive the other day to pull my brothers truck out of the snow now when I drive I get this clicking nose coming from either the front end or the transfer case I can't tell, any ideas to what it might be the truck is a 00 f-150.

Re: clicking sound
how many miles on the truck? if there is more than 50k or so it may be your U-joints. Try greaseing them first though this mat quite them down.

Re: Re: clicking sound
I also have a 2000 4x4 with a snapping or clicking noise in the front end somewhere.I posted something on it as well and have not heard anything. It cant be anything too important because its been doing it since i bought the truck 2 1/2yrs ago. It's the squeeking noise you have to worry about, because when it stops the ball joints are ready to fall off which can be very expensive.( I found this out at the dealer today). If I find anything out I'll let you know. Also check over on f150online.com. that site has been helpful to me in the past.

the truck has 115300 miles on it. I had to do the rear u joints over the summer and did the ball joints not to long before that. The truck is going on the lift Saturday so I will check it out then. thanks for the help.
