Smile 2000 Pontiac Montana Parking Light repair

I bought the light but i'm having troubles trying to reach it. Seems that I have to remove one of the splashers in order to get to the light. By the way this is the light located by the passenger side.
Any one have done this?
I'll appreciate if someone can help hopefully with pictures, or if you have a website where I can see how to do this without dismantling the whole van he he
This is the two element light located right besides the headlight
Thanks in advance
Carlos

Re: 2000 Pontiac Montana Parking Light repair

Carlos,

I don't believe they've changed this for awhile, but on my 2003, there is a thumbscrew sort of above the head light that holds the parking light on. Unscrew that and pull the light directly forward and it will come right out....Glen

My 98 is the same. Remove the thumb screw and slide the housing out. Mine always has dirt laying on the metal where the housing sits make sure to clean that out while you're in there so you don't develop any rust in there.
