Hope I'm putting this in the right forum!

Hey all,

I have a question for anyone who can answer.

What is the difference in CC's on heads?

For example if I put 86cc heads on my 455 olds in place of my 80cc heads, what would I gain or lose?

Thanks for the help in advance, and If I posted this in the wrong place don't kill me. It's my 2nd day on here LOL

The higher the CC number the lower the compression/r will be.Lower compression/r means less need in high octane fuel. Performance wise I don't see a big difference in 86cc to 80cc.Hope that answered your question.

A bigger head cc has the potential for more flow I believe as well depending on your valves.

Sorry not correct.CC is the measurement of the combustion chamber size and has nothing to do with flow.Intake runners, Valve size have to do with flow.
