crankshaft position sensor
Hi, i have a 1994 4.0 jeep grand cherokee, 148K , i drove the truck all day it ran very well, i went to the store and came out it wont not start, i kept cranking it and it then it finally started, it had the check engine lite come on, i drove it home shut it off when it restarted right away the engine lite was out! where is the "cps" located on this engine? could this be the problem? i would like to replaced it myself! Thanks for replys!

Cps
You didn't say what engine you have. For 6 cyl. it is located on the transmission bell housing at the left rear of the engine. on 5.2 L/5.9 : V-8 it is on the block behind the right cylinder head. on 4.7L it is on the block above the starter. Don't substitute bolts and watch for the spacers.
