Motul 350Z *WIP*

I am trying to build this kit, but knowing that Hiro got to it first I know I can never match his level of skill.

Anyway here is my crack at it. I am using Photoetch set from Tamiya

body. unpainted, unprimered.

some cf stuff. the center console is not finished yet (still needs ashift knob and some switches

some pe stuff

dashboard with some extra decals

destroy the Nissan decal.. so used Loctite

The wheels. spray painted the tire signs through the Tamiya mask.

Chasis and PE brakes. Cf decals

test fitting.

Any suggestions?

all feedback is welcomed.

I think yours could be just as good as hiros does. So far it looks great. The interior looks awesome, the nismo on the seatbelts caught my eye.

Looks great, carbon fibre decaling and interior are fantastic. Are those Edward seatbelts? A couple of the Bridgestone tyre logos have been smeared but that can happen on the real cars as well.

Looking very nice indeed, I like the addition of the wires on the interior.

Re: Motul 350Z *WIP*

Hey Thanks,

I used white fine primer to spray the tre markings. They are smeared slightly on purpose (wanted to give the tires the test/worn look)

The seatbelts are self adhesive precut set for this car which comes together with the Tamiya PE set. So the belts themselves are self adheseve paper with photoetched buckles and hardware.

Loved the wired interior.

Attention to every detail will make this one a classic slk320 ultra detailed car, I'm shure.

Yep, all of the above.

I've not seen Hiro's version of this, so I'll keep away from it til you finish yours.

Love the silver flooring, is that Alcad or tamiya?

Looks cool to me.. Great start, I seem to recall reading that someone painted the wheels with the templates, but the paint cracked off. They used PC paints from Tamiya in the end, due to this being more flexible.

Great start though..
