New Truck, new problems.
Well, I just got a new 1990 pick up, c1500(2wd), 350, auto.
I have two problems. 1. When the truck down shifts after I hit the gas hard, I get a grinding/pinging sound, followed by a check engine light, and the truck will not down shift. After the codes are set the truck will down shift with no problem. The codes I pulled are 42, and 43. I turn the truck off, turn it back on and the check engine light is off. Other than when i force the engine to downshift the truck drives, and shifts fine under normal conditions. 2. Also, I can hear the fuel injectors clicking with a changing tempo, with the engine off but the key set to "run". I am thinking a possible bad ECM. Thanks all! Edited to add discription.
