power steering pump
im trying to replace the ac/air/water pump belt, but it is behind the alternator and power steering pump belts. the alternator belt comes off easily, but when i went to try and take the power steering belt off, it seemed like there was no way to adjust it so the belt would loosen. this seems like a very stupid design, as there is no way to loosen the belt w/o taking the whole pump off. any ideas? my car is a 85 lesabre w/ 307

I'm not sure but I think there is a bolt to loosen that you have to go thru the pulley to get it,I could be wrong its been years,good luck

heh yea, i had to go thru a hole in the pulley... it was nearing dark when i looked so thats why i couldnt see it.. oh well thanks!! the new belts got rid of the squeaky squeaky!! lol
