Re: Clicking sound

I think my 95 jimmy does and the 90 4runner i had did the same thing. it's like a fast clicking that's not not like super loud? if it's the same thing... my dad is really good with cars and he didn't say anything about it.

CV Joints? I've heard them making a clack, clack sound when the joint gets dry. During a turn the sound increases to a clackita, clackita sound. Does this sound like The Secret Life of Walter Mitty?

In any case check the inner and outer CV boots for crack and tears, that allow the grease to drip our. If their OK try kneading the boots to push any grease in them back into the joints to see if it helps. They sell a grease needle for your grease gun that you can use to puncture the boot with a small hole and inject grease directly into the joint.

OR, axels are about 85 bucks each, try Rockauto.com, its a great site to check prices on a range of items for many cars.
Good luck
