Lightbulb What Next?

Ok peeps, I guess I have been unbanned now for bringing up old posts, so now I'm going to bring up a new one.
Just finished putting on my headers. Now my car has mac headers and y-pipe, and flow master exhaust, raim air intake, high flow cats, and its been tuned with a superchips tuner. in other words, my ls1 is breathing quite nicely now, however, not sure what to do next. Currently im taking on the traction and handling problem. I've installed a spohn adj. torque arm and now im installing rear lower control arms and panhard bar, and subframe connectors and a strut tower brace. Now Im ready to give it some more power and Not sure what the next step is.

Some of my ideas are:
Intake manifold (LSX or Lingenfelter)
Rods/Lifters/Springs/Valves/etc...
Cam/Crankshaft
Crank/Underdrive Pulleys
Rear End Gear.

Not ready for turbo/super/nos yet, just trying to strenghthen up the engine a little first, any ideas and or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

Re: What Next?

Well, Ill have to go with something stronger, because eventually, I want to turbo or supercharge this car, but I have heard that the LSX are better because its made of a lighter composite that doesn't hold in heat like the lingenfelter does.

Re: What Next?

what gears do you have currently? if you dont have at least 3.42's that would be next priority on my to-do list..

Re: What Next?

Gears, then fix your exhaust problem (the problem being the blowmaster), then decide if you're eventually going to run boost, spray, or go N/A and get the cam best suited for that.

Re: What Next?

yes ill probably gear it out next, do you really think flow master is that bad? i don't nessicarily like the way it sounds on an LS1, but it sounds good on an LT1.

Re: What Next?

did you do a lid?....ported maf?...ported throttle body?...if you do the lsx intake you'll want a 90mm throttle body( with a stock cam its a useless mod really because you wont have the cam to move more air that this intake provides)

if i was you...do a cam/springs/pushrods/programming

yea, don't port the MAF, that just screws up the sensor calibration and you will buy a new one sooner or later. The stock MAF's are good to about 500 HP soo... Don't worry about it. Ported throttle body??? That will add like 2 HP for all the work.

If you plan to do a turbo setup on that car, keep the same gears taht are in it now. (assuming it was a 3.42)

Re: What Next?

ill tell ya what, i dont know much about forced induction on the LS1 but i would imagine that if you want to charge it than i would look at LPE first. hell, they built the lingenvette and they have turbo setups for the camaro. i would imagine that they thought of all the problems that can arise...

Re: What Next?

Go SLP Loudmouth, I know a guy who has that on an LS1, and I think it sounds pretty damn good, although I don't know about performance or whatnot
