correct tire profile

im upgrading (finaly) to aftermarket rims. just want to make sure i get the correct profile tire that has enough side wall to drive on the aweful roads in massachusetts but not too large for a 17 inch rim. i have a 1998 civic ex coupe. anyone know the optimal tire profile for my car?

Re: correct tire profile

205/40/17 but they are not pothole friendly. If you went with a set of 16s you could get away with 205/45/16 and that'll give you more sidewall.
