custom tail light idea

what do you think of doing something like this to a hatch's tails?



i was considering painting my center panel black and outlining the sides with black also. except i would be doing it to my clear tail light set.

i was also thinking of doing the same thing but with white (to match my car)

i just found the pic and it really helps to show how it would look so i thought i'd ask.

If my rear hatch ever gets messed up, I'll be doing that.

would you suggest the white or black? i was originally thinking white, but i think the black would look more agressive and kinda go with my black accents on the car.

also black might help to block the light trying to get through the lens and cover and seal that little crack that i mentioned in an older thread.

i'd do black. i have a white car too and black will look bolder and stand out more. IMO.

cool, thats what i was thinking.

most people do vinyl and stickers that match their car, i wouldnt mind being more unique.

i think i'll just get em on and see how the popo likes em, then if i have problems i may end up painting them entirely red with the black outline...

we'll see i guess
