Re: Hot Wire

Uhhh....yeah. I highly doubt anyone is going to tell you how to steal a car. I put it that way, because no one here knows you so no one knows if you're really trying to start your own car or someone elses. My advice is if you're serious, get a manual for your car and look it over. It's not as easy as crossing wires over like in the movies. When you don't have a key in the ignition, the steering wheel locks so you won't be able to steer it around after you start it. It's a very easy thing to do (if you know what to do), but you will be left with some broken things that will need immediate repair when you're done. That's all I have to say about that...

Sure can, but I doubt anyone will, as this smells like it has the potential to pick up a 'conspiring to commit' offence.

Seriously if this is really a true issue, get a copy of your new found keys made, and give one to your girlfriend, or put it under your mattress or something.

As someone else suggested, get a manual, but I assure you, unless you understand several systems of the mechanics and electrical components in the diagrams, you still won't be any closer to achieving your goal.

If it is your intent to learn for malicious purposes, I assure you from experience that you should reconsider getting a day job, as you are over 18 (as far as your profile), and where I come from, that's the age where it's not juvy anymore.

BTW, I'm certain that if you take the VIN and ownership to the dealer, they can order you a new key as well (assuming of course that the name on the ownership is actually yours, and has not been altered)

Regards,

Steve

go to honda with the registration papers, drivers license of the owner of the registration papers, and $5 for a new key.

concerning hotwiring, i believe you've been watching too much movies. i dont belive you can hot wire the vehicle and drive off with a locked steering wheel.

basically, their are two ways the average joe can start a car without the key. 1) creating a master key to get in the ignition teeths and 2) popping the ignition and using a screwdriver as the turning mechanism. if you had an ignition unit in front of you, you can figure out yourself on the rest.

All you guys need to chill down and stop taking this so seriously. i'm 19 and i'm the manager of one of our 4 Wiser Wireless in spokane washington. If you read all of my post i said i found my keys later that day, and if my girlfriend needed to be picked up and i was at my house, what would her having an extra key do? hmmmm. I was just inquiering, not trying to start a damn chop shop guys. and as for the name DUI.........i thought it would be original and funny, i've never actually gotten a DUI, just 3 speeding tickets (woot woot COBRA!).

Re: Hot Wire

The point is that no one here knows you in real life, so we don't know your intentions. I mean this is the internet; I could say I'm an 80 yr old woman and I drive a 8 second Evolution 8, and no one would be able to tell for sure if I was lying or not. There are just too many theives out there who go to forums to get info on stealing cars or pick out cars to steal. Honestly I'm surprised a mod hasn't closed this thread yet, but maybe that's because no one gave out any detailed information.
