92-93 console -> 94+ conversion
I have found a couple threads on this topic, switching over the armrest/console in a 92-93 to a 94 or newer and all i can find is dead links, or just vague information. Have any of you done this before and what does it take to actually move over the ebrake handle some say its a huge pain others say its not bad at all, ive tried other forums and some say they have a write up on it somewhere and i cant seem to find one anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Its not bad. All you need is a Phillips screwdriver. A couple of the screws are kinda in a tight spot but its not bad. It took me about 45 minutes.

Re: 92-93 console -> 94+ conversion
I have the 92 and I hate the center part because of all the wasted space due to the stupid placement of the brake lever. But I really like having the glove box space and I don't sit in the back so it doesn't affect me in a negative way. I wish I could have the 94 front center part while still having the back glovebox from mine, but I think that's more work than it's worth.

Re: 92-93 console -> 94+ conversion
I did the 92 to the 93 console change in about 20 minutes.. but that didn't involve moving the ebrake lever.
best way to learn is to dive in and try.

Re: 92-93 console -> 94+ conversion
yeah for anyone that wants to do this swap, i found a write up on it, and just to clarify, its a 92-94+ conversion, the 92-93 are the same except the 93 has a few spots for switches and other controls, but the ebrake is in the same spot, on the 94-96 the ebrake is to the left thats why there its a little complications, but from what i found out its nothing a little drilling cant fix. if anyone wants the link for the conversion, i should be able to find it for you

Re: 92-93 console -> 94+ conversion
For those of you who have done it, is there any way to get the best of both worlds. In my opinion because I like my glove box but I want the 94 part up front. would be it be possible with a dremel or something?

Re: 92-93 console -> 94+ conversion
well ive been workin on this more and more, just got all my parts, the only thing im missing is the bracket for the newer ebrake, so i have no way of bolting it to the car, i might try to use the old one, but ill see what i can come up with... if any of you know where i can get one, relatively cheap, that would be great. thanks a lot
