gas milage

i have a delta 88 royale. and i was wondering is there anything one can do to improve gas milage? mine acts like gas was beer... drinks it up faster then i can put it in...... any help or suggestions would be most helpful.. it a 85, low miles, v-8, carb.... any one with suggestions ?

well it is a V8 so Gas Milage sucks.

What kinda numbers are you getting in the city and highway??? If it is real bad something is probably broken or worn out.

Obviously you should replace:

Fuel Filter
Air Filter
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
O2 Sensor (if it has one, I dont know)

If it is still below what it should be then it is time to look at the engine.

When I had my 85 Delta 88 Royale with the 305 V8, I would get right at 25 mpg. I just kept the plugs and air filter clean and it would do that all the time. I had 180K on it when I sold it to someone, it still ran good, but the door hinges would coming apart.
