94 Seville engine problem

Hello- I have a 94 Seville with the 32 valve engine that recently developed a problem. White smoke emits from both exhaust tips and the engine misses dramatically. Also it is hard to start. It happened as a I was driving, and is not from overheating. The car has only 32K miles. Anyone familiar with this problem on this engine? -Eddie

The first thing you should do is check for codes in the diagnostic mode.

To enter diagnostic mode:
1. Turn ignition "ON."
2. Depress the "OFF" and "WARMER" buttons on the Climate Control Center (CCC) simultaneously and hold until the segment check appears on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).

Also, check your oil dipstick for water contamination. If the oil has a white tint then you likely have a blown head gasket. White exhaust can indicate that water is getting into the combustion chamber and is creating steam.
