my 1995 rodeo blows out heavy smoke on start-up after sitting 2 days or more---i think i have a bad valve guide?
any suggestions? runs perfect after getting warm and oil burns off just passed pa emmissions test 1 mounth ago is this normal truck has 110k plugs dont seem fouled--but havent pulled yet trent out |

Two very important questions...
1: What colour smoke is it? 2: What is the tempature outside, and does the smoke dissipate when it is warm outside? Steve |

My 3.2 does the exact same thing, it is probably worn valve guides or valve guide seals. The solution is to have the heads rebuilt. Dale Quote:

Yep...certainly sounds like valve stem seals gone bad.
Eventually, you'll probably want to have the head rebuilt, but for now, just watch for oil level. Steve |
