Installation help of K&N intake

A friend of mine just took a K&N FIPK off a wrecked car for his 96 Cougar, so we have no idea how to install it. All of the parts are there, and we haven't taken much time, but we don't want to miss anything or direct something where it doesn't belong. I was wondering if anyone knew and detailed installation manuals on the internet that we could read through?

Also, what are the dimensions of the gas and brake pedal for a 95 T-bird?

Hey bud, good catch on the fipk kn.

I'm gonna guestimate on this, i'm pretty sure you just basically remove the entire intake housing (the plastic tube on the throttle body to the air filter) and remove the air filters housing.

Now all you do is replace it with the kn tube/cone filter..AND make sure you plug in the maf sensor, which goes right behind the cone filter. Another good thing to do is make a custom heat shield to cover the cone filter (like a box). Unless the fipk kn comes with it.

To get the full benefit, remove the air silencer in the fender wall...go to www.tccoa.com and go into the forums and search air silencer-you'll see.

BTW, i have a 95 tbird, the pedals dimensions... The brake pedal is like 4 1/2 by 2 1/4 inches and like 1/2 inch think and the gas is about 4 by 1 inches (i hate how narrow this pedal is), and about 1/2 inch thick.

I hope thats what you meant by dimensions...or else i looked like a tool.

Thanks bro. That's pretty much what I needed, that's what I had in mind. We'll see what we can do with it tomorrow-it's snow covered out tonight.

Oh, and yes that's what I meant by dimensions.
