Clutch squeaking

Hey everyone. My clutch is squeaking if I put it in neutral and get off the pedal. It just started today, but it is annoying and makes my car sound like s_ _ _. Any suggestions?

well that is if u put ur foot on the clutch and it goes away!

Yeah, I put my foot on the pedal to make it go away. Should I replace the whole clutch again or live with it? What will happen if I do nothing? I replaced the clutch 30,000 miles ago.

If you just recently replaced your clutch then no. But a quex\stion that boggles my mind if you just recently changed teh clutch why the TOB wasnt changed along with it.

Just for a further opinion..throw out bearing is what it most likely is...

You should buy a clutch kit and replace the clutch, throw out bearing, and pressure plate.

If you do nothing the noise will just get worse and worse, and eventually it will seize causing damage to your pressure plate, eventually rendering it useless.

But for an alternate solution, if your clutch still works good, and you have the knowhow...you might be able to get away with just greasing the input shaft (where the TOB slides) and the TOB to eliminate the noise. When I replaced my clutch, I didn't grease the shaft like you're supposed to and it would squeak whenever I went into reverse. I took it back apart and greased it, and it hasn't made a peep since. Wouldn't save you time, but it would save you money. Just be sure not to use too much or it will spread and make your clutch slip.

Well today I let the car warm up good and didn't hear the noise. The throw out bearing was replaced with the clutch by the way. But if I hear it again, I'm taking it back cuz everything was replaced last january and I know I'm not going through a clutch a year. Thanks
