I've been having a similar problem on my 2000. Every time i turn the wheel there is one spot where it seems to click into place and there is a constant squeaking sound coming from the front suspension. I haven't been able to figure it out even by getting under the front and havign someone keep turning the wheel. The squeaking is only when the truck is in motion which kinda made me think its the shock bushing. what is the best way to lube the shock mounts/bushings? can i just spray soem wd40 or do i need a special silicon spray?

Check you upper and lower ball joints. Squeaks are even more common in lowered and lifted trucks. I just had to replace my lower ball joints, specifically the passenger side one b/c even after it was lubed/greesed it would only stay for a week and then the ball joints would be completely dry again.

I would not use WD-40 because it attracts dirt which will make the problem worse. The BEST way would be to remove the bolts and apply a small ammount of grease to the inside of the bushing and around the outer edge as well then reassemble. Once it is back together wipe any excess grease off. I used to own a K1500 jimmy and thet thing squeaked like you would not believe and no type of spray would help long term.
