accord f22 rebuild
my 91 accord needs a rebuild..... I know i really need another engine but cannot find a good used one cheap enough or one with under a 100k miles on it. does anyone know of a decent priced f22a around the louisiana area? My old engine spun a bearing but after tearing it down i could see the balance shafts bearings are shot. I thought about somehow blocking the oil holes to the balance shafts then leaving the belt off the shafts.... would this cause undo vibration? machine shop work along with new crank, etc...etc...would cost a fortune. any recommendations.

Re: accord f22 rebuild
We were in columbia about 2 months ago visiting my mom-in-law and had our eyes open for another motor for my 93... no such luck
I might be getting rid of my motor soon though - it has 195k but runs beautifully |

But I have some connection in Monroe, now that I think of it -- where are you in LA?

Re: accord f22 rebuild
im in the town of ball about 50 miles south of columbia. yea it'll be nice to find an engine close enough to where i could pick it up. 195k miles is about the life expectancy of the hondas, but theres got to be low mile engines out there.
