Unhappy White Smoke!!!

I plan on trading in my 93 civic for a 96 eclipse rs. The only problem is that white smoke comes from the exhaust when it is running. Can someone please tell me what this is? Is it cheap to fix? Should i do the trade? Please respond ASAP, Thank You.

Re: White Smoke!!!

sounds like the fuel is either very rich or has the wrong type of oil for the season in it.. I would try changing the oil and fuel since its a cheap thing to do. Could also be motor problems so be careful it could be a number of things, although at least its not black smoke

No... That is wrong. White smoke is burning coolant/water. Either condensation or a bad head gasket. I dont know if I would buy it with a bad head gasket man. Its all up to you, but white smoke is coolant/water so get that checked out!
