Engine suddenly stalls

What do think of a recently tuned engine that would run smoothly for 9-10 miles and then start spitting and sputtering to the point that with the accelerator pushed all the way down, it would stalls as if not getting any gas? Everthing is new from the gas tank to the fuel line to the carb, points, dist cap, wires, plugs. It ran great for the 9-10 miles (65-70mph). After letting the car sit overnight, the same thing happened. Runs great for awhile and as if it reaches a point, starts the stalling again. Any suggestions?

Re: Engine suddenly stalls

I would check the ignition points, they are probably burned or the gap is too small. Otherwise check the valve adjustment it may be too tight. P.S. there is a seperate air cooled forum here.
