i dont know weather to place this here or in the class. section, so ill do it here, any mod with a problem feel free to move it to sails, but i was woundern how much does the avg civic dx go for? im looken to sell mine, its got some rust and the fenders are through, it wouldnt pass emissions and it burns a little oil, also the trannys cincros are starting to go, it shifts just fine, but if you try to pop it into second the gears will grind occasionaly, stock d15b2 moter, could i get a k out of it or would i have to part it out for that kind of $$$?

266,xxx miles its an 89, its all oem, except, i made a cover for the missing spair tire out of mdf wood, was gunna put a system in it, but the s 10 took all the money, nothen agains the car, just started putten money else where, the hood also has a broke pivot, but you cant tell unless you realy reaf on it while its open, it also has a code 16 that keeps returning (bad injector) but its never given me any problems runing or any problems starting, every time one crank, sun roof, doesnt leak, no pw, pdl or pwr steering, has pb and fairly new pionere cd player, i cleand it once realy realy good, but it could use a once overe again inside, it is machanicly sound, i just did an oil change, and it wasnt very black at all, it has some blow by, but all the bulbs are brand new in it, it needs a bumper marker (drivers side was smashed out)

it's an 89 right? (see i checked his profile). i just bought a 90 CRX std (dx) for $400, and it sounds like mines in a lot better condition. if u just wanna get rid of it, i'll give u like $100 for it if u KNOW that it'll make a 6 hour drive back to my spot.

thers no question it will make it, but i cant go that low, ive got 400 total invested, and my truck needs a cat and muffler bad, thats going to be 450+ because i dont do exdhaust work, thats why the car must go, if all else fails ill put it up at my girl friends house, shes on a busy enough corner, i realize a grand is a lot, but new breaks, tires and i just filled them with air (free of charge the the lucky buyer lol) it was going to be a prject car, and thats when i realized how much my project truck was taken from my budget, and theres not a chance i could sell the truck to keep the car, way more into the truck, i get a "prefered customer" dicount at advanced auto and autozone, so i guess if the buyer wanted i would go pick up the pistons and rings to get the blow by to quit, but i dont know how much that will cost, all i know is my $8x doller wp for the s 10 was bought for 45, so its not half off, but its close, but if i change the rings and all i would have to keep it from time invested, and i cant do that lol

not to burst u'r bubble, but the car i mentioned just buying had whole new exhaust, brakes, tires, recently changed timing belt and water pump. all totalling over $700, and i bought it for $400, and it didn't even have the bad body rott that a lot of northern hondas get. guess i just lucked out. well if u change u'r mind, i'd be interested. and as long as it'd make it back to my spot, i wouldn't be concerned about repairing anything on it. either way, pm me whenever if u decide to sell.

i have a 89 dx that i bought for $600...143k miles on her..runs great ,no rust, interior is in good shape...so i'd say u prob. wouldn't get much for urs..might as well keep it..fix it...then sell it.

car is rotted, burns oil, rings are shot, high k, clutch is going, old car,won't pass emission or safety.. i'd say take the 50 bucks a wrecking yard will give ya. No one would pay that here, however, put a 100 price tag on it AND/OR part it out.. Get more money sellign parts off it.

looken at what ive put into it i would need more then what you payed for your car, that in another post, you did get a good deal, but it doesnt make sence to pay more for a parts car then the nice one, and whith my time into this thing i would have to, i do machanic work, and i alwase just ask shops what they charge for jobs to to see what ive saved, and when i bought the car it didnt run, one shop told me upto 3 months and 1500 bucks, it was just the timeing, but still, i know i will NEVER get that kind of money out of it, but after what ive put into the car i cant do it, it would cost to much. sorry, keep looken youll find a parts car from someone down on theire luck...

this guy i work with bought a std thinking i would buy it off of him. I thought about it but damn i would need hubs, mpfi swap, and a few other things before i could do a swap. It would be fun to blow the shitty engine though.
