97 JGC Questions (newbie)
1.) Does anyone know how difficult it would be to replace exhaust manifold on 6cyl JGC? Also how much one would cost. 2.) Please tell me how to eliminate the annoying horn chirp when I set my alarm with the remote. Have been told only the dealer can do this. 3.) Is it very difficult to replace the fuel pump/filter? Are they one and the same, ie. can you only replace the fuel filter? Thank you very much for any help. This forum is great.

The manifold is not too bad of a job. Make sure you use penetrating oil on all the bolts and nuts. When trying to remove the manifold bolts and they dont want to break loose use a torch to hot box the bolts.
As far as the fuel pump filter my 96 was seperate outside the Tank not sure for 97 easy to check . Not sure about the remote there should be someone here who could answer that. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ............................................ 000

JDV97JGC, As far as the alarm is concerned...let the dealership do it. Mine does not chirp the horn when I set it. Maybe a car stereo/alarm shop might be able to turn it off for you. Check out the Autozone website and look at the chilton's manual to see if they show pictures on the pump/filter. I'm pretty sure it is seperate though.
