wanting a 2000+ jetta...

i've been considering a "new" car to drive and a jetta has struck my fancy. i was wondering which i should look into. i've decided i want one not any older than a 2000 and i want it to be a manual with preferably a 6 cylinder. looking through cpo on the vw site and looking on ebay i've determined at most i should spent $15,000. so my question is, what year and model should i go with? i'd like to have a fairly quick car, but obviously i am not looking for a speed demon. any help is much appreciated.

uhmmm... if you are looking for a jetta with a 6 cylinder then you are looking for a vr6... I got mine for 12,900 so just depends where you look.
