About an air filter

Yeah you know how people have those open air filters at the end of their plenum instead of the stock air intake, What kind of filter do i need so that it fits on that oval shaped end?

Re: About an air filter

You have a speed density fuel injection system, right?

Re: About an air filter

OK sorry I was going to wait but since your in a hurry can't do it if you have MAF system. Because the MAF needs to be in between to register the air entering but what year is it. So I can look up to see if its speed density or do you know if you have a MAF sensor?.

Also you can just add it to the other end of the MAF which will be almost the same or you can just attach it to the inlet tube.

Re: About an air filter

I don't understand why you would want it so close to the engine. Why not put a CIA or at least move the filter a ways away from the engine so it can get as much cool fresh air as possible?

Re: About an air filter

What do you mean it opens up? All hoods open UP that's their point...J/K. The best idea for an intake is to have it in a place where it will get cool air and a lot of it.

Call Summit racing and tell them what you are looking for and they'll set you up with the correct K&N filter.
