Headlights

I just brought some new headlights for my 97 expedition. I need to know how to remove the stock lights. Need help..

on my 2000, there are 2 black clips above each light.. push to rear & pull up. the whole light assy. will come right out (on the 2000)

I have '97 as well and getting to the headlamps are a pain. I had to take the panels off because I can't get my hands in the slot. But the right hand side is easier. Just press on the locking clip to unplug the wire and you have to unscrew the security lock before you can pull it out.
