electrical issues
My 99 Taurus instrument light says I'm low on coolant, yet the reservoir is full. Last week the oval instrument radio/heater/ac panel stayed on for hours after the car was shut off. Recently the driver's door wouldn't unlock with the keyless key, yet the other three doors did. I think all these electrical issues are related. Any directions you can point me in?

Re: electrical issues
if they are related, I'd first look at the GEM (general electric module)

Hey listen I have a 93 Taurus with all kinds of such problems and I have been trying to find out what causes them. I thought of a short someplace. Like sometimes the heater fan will work, sometimes not. If I mess with the wires that are in around the heater, the fan will come on. Sometimes the car can be zipping down the road at 55 or 45, hilly road or not, it will just stop the engine. All the lights come on, in the instrument area. I will let the car roll off the road, wait a few and it fires right up and off I go again. I like my car but it is starting to drive me crazy. What is causing these problems? So maybe if we put our heads together we might find out our troubles? Thanks.
