converting my d16
After giving up my 13 sec. volkswagen corrado (for financial reasons) i was forced by the parentals to get a honda civic. i have a dx d16y7 motor and i would like to convert to vtech. its hard to go from a fast car to like 85 hp at the wheels. i need advice and information on what to do and what parts i should use. any info is useful.

Re: converting my d16
I'd say skip vtec and get an LS motor. It's around 140hp and 127tq, and a much better platform to work off of IMO.

Re: converting my d16
i've done afew bolt on's to my D series..and found its not really worth the money. i'd say do a swap. or if u wanna be fancy, throw on a turbo. a swap may seem like alot of money, but adding intake, headers and exhaust to your D motor would cost around $1000 (canadian). and that would be a good 1000 to throw towards a swap
