Hemi Hydro

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who was not all that interested in watching the Super Bowl.
Instead, I built this on "Super Bowl Sunday"...

It's for my Hemi Hydro, just a simple engine swap from the kit's 392 to a Keith Black 426 from another vintage Revell F/C kit.
Made a water pump out of a Nascar driveshaft driven oil pump, (there is no cooling system in the Hydro kit).
The carbs are from the Revell Z/28 Camaro. Still have to make velocity stacks (or a scoop,) and exhaust pipe ends.
It was going to be a quickie out-of-the-box build, but hey, I was having fun... Still am... - Mark

The hull(body)work is done, it's making the shadow in the top pic. The hull is the focal point of the project so you'll just have to wait... I'll give you this, it's gonna be black... - Mark

Re: Hemi Hydro

I almost picked up that kit. Looks cool so far. I might have to go get the kit now.

Don't forget that engine does not come in the Hemi Hydro kit, it's from a funny car... - Mark

Re: Hemi Hydro

I didn't watch the whole superbowl, I hate sports, aside from golf, snowboarding, and auto racing, they just don't "tickle my fancy!"
