Accelerator Petal

I have a 2000 Grand Prix GT. The accleerator petal seems to stick when you first start up the car. It just requires a bit of extra force to get it to move. Has to be something mechanical with the petal since the car idles and accelerates fine. After startup this problem goes away until the car sits overnight and then the same problem occurs. Any suggestions?

Re: Accelerator Petal

You could maybe have some corrosion on one of your throttle cables. Go under the hood and lube the hell out of the them with WD-40 - spray it where the metal comes out of the tube and stuff. Also spray it on all the mechanism inside the car.
