vats bypassing
about how long should it take to bypass the system. i got a few different articles schematics etc about how to do it but none gave a real time estimate of how long it would take

Depends on how good you are at working on stuff like that but I will say this if it takes you longer than 2 hours you messed up more than a couple of times.

Finally something I know about!
I bypassed my vats about six months ago (95 Z28). A few screws out of the dash panel, the wires were right there, shaved off the insulation, twisted resistor in, checked to make sure it worked for a day or two, soldered the resistor, electrical taped it, put dash back, and thanks again for the guy that helped me! total time is like 20-30 mins easy. make sure you measure your key's resistor before you go to radio shack. P.S. when you get it all done please burn some rubber!!! |
