I started on my Civic hatch project today.
I removed the engine/trans as a whole w/o cutting or hacking anything. It is a 1989 1.5, 5 speed. The car ran when it was parked 5yrs. ago. The engine turns and looks clean inside the valve cover. The antifreeze was good and the crank case was full of oil. It has the distributor,starter, alternator, a/c compressor, a good harness etc... The right side c.v. shaft is good and just the left inner joint is useable. I have all the engine mounts the shifter assembly and torque arm. This would all be good for someone looking to convert to a stick shift.
Whenever I start upgrading my suspension, I will have brakes,hubs, and rear strut assebblies for sale as well.
I have a choice between 3 engines, so I won't need the original. I'd like to sell what I can to help fund the project.
I would like to sell the power train as a whole, but I can part pieces out if needed.
Asking $300 for everything, truck freight would probably run $80-120 depending on loaction.
