Running Boards/Nerf Bars/Step Bars
I have a 98 Rodeo and would like to purchase Step Bars, I've seen step bars for 97 Rodeo. So my question is there a major difference in the under frame of 94-97 with a 98 Rodeo? Can I use step bars from a 97 on my 98?

Re: Running Boards/Nerf Bars/Step Bars
I have never taken a look at the under carriage of a 1st gen, but this site lists two different part numbers for each.

Every step bar manufacturer uses their own mounting system to connect to the frame or body of the truck. I have Manik nerf bars and they mount differently for 1st and 2nd gen Rodeos. They post the installation instructions for each vehicle on their website www.manik.com. Of course, if you're willing to weld the bars to the frame, then you'll have an easier time of it. |
