limited slip differential in the snow????

Hey,i was wondering if, when i do an engine swap on my 93 si, if i get a tranny with LSD will it make it easier to drive in the snow? My honda doesnt go anywhere when it snows right now.

You can have the best AWD but if your tires suck then you aren't going anywhere. Which is why you see alot of SUV drivers thinking if they have AWD they are going to never get stuck.

THen you see me blow by them with my 1989 Civic Si with 4 snow tires on. Which tires do you drive on in the snow? If you live in a snow area snow tires are your best friend.

Specially last year when we (PA) had that blizzard. About 6' of snow dropped. Stuck my snow tires on (NOkian Hakkapelitta 2s) a month before that storm and drove around with no problems.

i hear ya on that one....this year i would have gotten stuck too ( in pa also ) if i hadnt spent the extra to get two winter master snowflake tires....theyre sweet, civics are sweeter...

Limited slip will help regardless of tires, however I agree that you don't need it if you're running snow tires. I love my studded snow tires, I get traction when everyone else just slides around.

Those Nokian tires are badass. I know a guy with a set on his Evo, constantly raving about how well they do in the snow.
