98 2dr Tahoe 4WD- 2Hi Light goes off and on for no reason.

The 2hi light on the 4WD button in my 2dr 98 Tahoe goes off and stays off, and then comes back on and stays on with no rhyme or reason. Does anyone know if it is supposed to do this or if there's a way I can fix it?

Put a meter to bulb wire if your getin voltage(constant) then its just ur bulb.

Mine had done this intermittantly since I got it. It eventually got so bad that none of the lights went on , and you never knew what it was in unless you shifted it again and felt it go in/out. I ordered the new switch from gmpartsdirect.com for about $35 including shipping, and now it works great!

I remember not being able to find it under their parts catalog. I had to request the part no. and then verified it with my local dealer. I looked it up just now on an old email they sent me it is 15027104

Looked it up on their home page with that number (in the upper left hand part number box) and it is $33. Good luck with the truck!
