no floorboard heat, feet are freezing!!!
The wife broke something on Christmas Eve day, very cold day. I've got hot heat everywhere but the floorboard. Talked to 3 mechanics & 2 of them say the blend door is broken in the heater box. One says the actuator is bad. Anyone got the same problem & if the doors broke how hard is it to pull the dash in order to get to the box?

if you can't get the florr, chances are you have a vacuum leak for your controls.

I don't think it's a vacuum leak. The top blend door is real lose, actually it wobbles fairly bad. The bottom one doesn't have any play in it all. Took the bottom of dash out so you can see up to the heater box. By turning the control knob everything seems to be moving when you select heat, defrost, vent, & etc.. But the top door has alot of play in it. I'm not sure that's the problem, but I'd hate to pay out $ 400 + in labor to replace a $ 18.00 door that might not be broken.

The heater controls are vacuum driven.

Check for vacuum leaks going to the vacuum ball in the engine compartment.
Check all vacuum lines. For the fan, sounds like the resistor pack is gone.
