What do you guys do?

I need a new job. I'm eighteen years old. I make $6.50/hr as an assistant manager at a restaraunt now. I have grown to hate customer service after a series of customer service jobs. I really need more money too. I'm gonna be joining the Navy in a few months so its temporary. I just want to get my car running 8-9psi daily with no problems before I leave. I can't really show any mechanics what I know considering I don't have a degree. Any ideas here are apprecieated. But I digress.

So as the question says, what do you do? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Im 16 and i make 6.20/hr at Sears. w00t! ummm I wouldnt join the navy army or marines or air force...ever. To me thats 2-4 years without my 240. But hey thats me.

im 19..will be 20 in march though. I work with my dad during the day monday - thursday. 7:30 am till 6 pm. For 8 dollars an hour. Then on friday's i work with my uncle at the chevy dealership doing bodywork. From 8:00 am till 5:00 pm. Kind of like an assistant as im not hired by the dealership im hired by him. i used to work ther full time but i got on at my dads work. So thats like 50 bux on fridays i make cash. Plus i get discounts on parts and can use there tools, lifts, and frame rack to work on my own shit lol so its a good deal. Then i have night school so i can stay up on that college crap. So i work by day and school it by night. I make like 320 a week. Not the best but not the worst either for still going to school. 48 hours a week isnt bad, then 4 credit hours of school...sux. Im always tired. AFter this summer though ill be fulltime college student again. im just working up until the next fall semester so i can get my ka-t project rolling along the lines. I figure ill make about 8 thousand by next fall...thats with my insurance payment already deducted. So i should be rolling pretty good with that much green into my engine. Plus i ride with my dad to work and my uncle on fridays....so i spend no money on gas either. Except for on the occasional weekend. I dunno we'll see how far along i get.

I make 7.65 an hour which is the minimum wage here, I work at Canadian Tire in the sports department 1-2 nights a week, enough for spending money....I wanna get another job, like at a movie theater.

i work construction for 14.50 and hour...shitty job..but then again im joining the military too...Army...and i dont get where you see it to be 4 years without your car...they ship it where ever you go...cept iraq or afgan...but thats a duh...anywho...free college and housing...thats what sold me...

17 in march...for me...I didnt know they would ship your car for you dang! ummm...hoping to work this 8.50/hr(40hour) over summer and like 6.2/hr(25hour) too...then I can have my rims and 5-Spd tranny and something else before summers end...w00t!

yea i decided with my 3200 tax return and 1500 for selling my celica im going to get some tein He coilovers, Profec B type S, Apexi SAFC, Kaaz 2 way, whiteline sway bars, some strut bars (front and back) and hopefully a gt9871r turbo...for got to add..also sellingmy rims and stereo for another 1500...nice to sell shit...sorry to jack the thread...had to vent my happiness...

I am 20 and I make $16 an hour sitting in a cube and surfing the internet half the time, and working with mortgage loan the other half. This winter I didn't get taxed

im 21 yrs old. i WAS a warehouse manager for a media distributor until i got laid off last friday. That was an awesome job. Id rather go to prison than back into the service industry. that crap is for high school kids and ive paid my dues.

as for advice, the shipping and recieving industry can pay well depending on where you live. courier jobs are good part time money. or just whore yourself out on the street corner. thats got me through some hard times.

Yea im joining the army to become a hummer mechanic. Anywhere i go for more than a year...my car gets shipped free by the government...

Im 17 and i work at ACME as a cashier... i hate grocery stores now, and will forever... but i make 7.50 an hour and am about to be at 8.00 in a month... its hardly enuff to pay off my car and my girl... gonna look for another job so i can hopefully put some money into my car...

AIR FORCE is the way to go... when i get out of HS thats where im headed... its probably the safest of the military routes, and if i actually get to fly planes, i think i could live with out my car for a bit

ill be 20 in like 5 days i work 8 months a yr on the beach setting up beach chairs and umbrellas. my pay fluctuates but i make anywhere from 500 to 1200 a week it all depends on how busy it is. peak of summer im rollin in the money. i wish i didnt drink so much or id have a lot more to put towards my car.
