Thunderbird versus Mini Cooper S.

Well, I took the backroard to jump on I95 to leave the heart of Richmond. I took an old road out behind VCU, and make a right turn. The road now opened up to two lanes right lane goes to I95 West, and the left lane get on to I95 East, the way I need to go. The entrance ramp merges with another entrance ramp (I never noticed what road it comes from actually, I think it comes out of the city itself too), so the entrance ramp is 2 lanes.

I jump in I95, i'm in the left lane, and a Silver Camaro is pacing me in the right lane. I though, "heh, cool, looks like my Camaro". Same body style, 98+, except I only notice 1 exhaust pipe, but it had the premium chrome 5-spoke wheels. He was pacing with me, while I was checking out his Car, thats when i relaized "OH SHIT, my exit lane is comming up."

I slow up, giving the Camaro about a bus length lead, I look in my mirror to get over behind him, and this A-Hole in a Mini Cooper S came out now where and slides RIGHT behind the Camaro, right where I slowed down to get over. I wasnt going to slow down to get behind this damn Mini. I'm like "fuck it." Mash the accelerator, the transmission downshifts to third with out hesitation, (FOR ONCE! I juust flushed my tranny with sea foam and replaced the filter) The RPMs jump to 3500-4000, the car launches foward, I now have to make the space up between me, and the Camaro. I'm a few car lengths untill I pass the Camaro, and I happen to look in my mirror, and I see the Mini get over, watch his front lift up, and he jumps on it to, I'm like WTF! I decide to keep my foot in it if he wants to play, I get a bus length past the Camaro check my speed and I'm doin 90 in a 55. I shut it down, and get in the right lane because the right lane turns into the exit. I see the Mini about 4 car lengths behind, but not slowing down, Just as i get in the deceleration lane the Mini does a little ricer fly by...lol... I go through the exit loop and jump onto 360, and I see the Silver Camaro right behind me. The first redlight on 360 we happen to catch. The Camaro in the right lane and me in the middle, with a Taurus in the left lane. I look over at the Camaro guy, hes young/mid age guy, wondering if he wanted to go. He just keeps looking foward.

I take of normally, and look over, the guy in the Camaro literaly sits there for 3 or 4 seconds, untill I'm away from him untill he starts to move. lol...

I dont think a V6 Camaro would be that slow against my Thunderbird.

It's probably a couple hundred pounds lighter than your t-bird. I don't think that the mini had much of a chance at a top end run, but out of the hole I bet he would have had you.
