93 Beretta Blinker Problem

I am getting frustrated with my car. Sometimes my blinkers work and sometimes they don't. It seems to be random, I will be driving and they work then all of a sudden don't. The fuse is fine, I have removed the rear lights and there doesn't seem to be any melting or loose wires. When I say they don't work, it means they don't come on, not just not blink. Can anyone think of where a wire could be loose. All my bulbs are working, hazards work as well. It has been unusually cold and wet (snow) in the recent weeks. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: 93 Beretta Blinker Problem

Sounds like a bad signal switch, I never had that problem but a I have a friend that had a 92 gt and his switch would do that, you just had to fiddle with it then it would work again.

Re: 93 Beretta Blinker Problem

I would agree with fcdriver. Mine would not blink. Replacing the flasher fixed that. But my switch didnt automatically turn off, on left turns. Go to the junk yard and get one if possible. The switch should be white and it is located underneath the steering colum, just unplug the connector and replace. Hope it works.

I had this happen to me. There is a wierd fuse like box under the dash that makes the blinker blink. Not sure how to tell you where it is, I know that you probably need a new one though.

Re: 93 Beretta Blinker Problem

Check in this order.
- Ground connection on your battery terminal.
- Ground connection in the rear of the car. unbolt it and clean it off with batter terminal cleaner.
- Flasher, or as someone earlier described a wierd looking fuse. Its a round shinny device that pulls out. 3-5 bucks at a part store.
- Wiring from brake lights all the way to the fuse pannel. Not fun! hope its the two above!
- Lastly the biggest pain in the butt. your multi switch that you use to turn your signals on. those are The worst case senario. you hope and pray thats not the case.
