I just got an invader hood for my CRX...car needs a wash, and I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not it's safe to let water run through the vent. The vent it directly over my headers so I wan't sure if it would mess anything up. Same goes for the rain...please help me out.
Thanks |

Re: Vented hood and rain
probably not, i remember reading somewhere that in the morning if you look under the hood of your car, most of the things will be soaking wet every now and then. So i imagine it shouldn't hurt anything, as long as ur not spraying directly into the engine bay

Re: Vented hood and rain
I'd say it's ok, but try not to get cold water directly on the engine/header when it's hot, or into your distributor car, but other than that, you should be ok.

Keep water away from the dizzy, the battery, and the intake filter... should be fine.

Re: Vented hood and rain
it's ok, just make sure the header is not hot. You are gonna wanna clean the motor when your done. You will have water spots on everything.
And damn it is header not headers. (one)
