Break lights
My 2000 Dodge Caravan break lights will not light up. I've checked all fuses, light bulbs. All of these are OK. I read that it could be the brake light switch under the brake pedal. This I cannot locate.

Look at the top of the brake pedal. The brake light switch is up next to the steering column, but you have to crawl up to the brake pedal to see the switch
I'm not sure if you can put it into gear without having your foot on the brake. In most newer cars you cannot. If you can only put it into gear while having the brake pedal depressed, your problem is beyond the switch but before the lights; maybe a short. |
