My 96 GAGT is making an awful Banging noise from the front suspention, it occurs when I hit a bump in the road. The noise comes from either side of the car, if I hit on the right I get the noise from the right if I hit on the left- noise from the left. I have had the struts changed an have checked the ball joints. I also recently changed the doughnut bushing on the driver side (lower). My mechanic looked at it and is stumped. Could it be from the subframe? or is it possible to have a bunch of bad bushings? If it is the bushings does anyone know if there is a bushing kit available or would I need to buy seperate bushings. Any input would be greatly appreciated. The car now has 120,000 miles 2.4 Quad 5 speed
Thanks, Hoags |

Re: Front End Suspention Noise...???
I would get under there with a ratchet and make sure all nuts and bolts are tight. Also warn bushings could cause this but are easy to spot when they are worn. Good Luck.

Re: Front End Suspention Noise...???
Very likely your motor mounts are shot. Check the upper passenger-side mount.
