1994 fog lights
This summer I want to replace my fog lights since they have been burned out for a long time. I am wondering, when I replace them do I have to replace the whole light, lens and everything or is the bulb replaceable? I have heard that lights for my car are really expensive and am curious if it's because the whole thing has to be replaced.

Re: 1994 fog lights
One of mine is busted, and I've looked it up, they are really expensive. I'm probably going to convert the fog lights to Hella lights instead, they cost about the same to covert compared to new GM ones, and they are supposed to be better anyway.

Re: 1994 fog lights
Can you get the conversion kit at autoparts stores or is there a special place to get it?

Re: 1994 fog lights
i think you have to replace the whole thing, i would just get some off brand fog lights and save some money, i saw a camaro one time with custom made lights, it had 4 fog lights in place of the 4 head lights, thats just ugly

Re: 1994 fog lights
Panchoman what do you mean by off brand? I was just thinking about buying some replacements from a parts store is that what you meant? I figured that I would have to replace the whole thing and I know it's gonna be spendy but that's what we all get for driving camaros right?

Re: 1994 fog lights
i ripped mine out and just replaced them with brite white's.. they arent supposed to be street legal, but who cares...
* they were actually remotely activated, but i just spliced them into the facory wiring, so i can turn them on with the button inside the car.. it was easy, and cost me about half as much as buying new fog lights.

Re: 1994 fog lights
Here's what I'm thinking about getting
http://www.hella.com/produktion/Hell.../FF75/FF75.jsp They are supposed to be pretty good, and are about the same shape. Here's some other interesting things you can do with your lights (headlights and fogs). http://wraithscar.homestead.com/lighting.html

Re: 1994 fog lights
the fog lights have replacable bulbs but the headlights are sealed beams meaning you have to replace the whole thing.

Re: 1994 fog lights
Those Hella FF75 are about 70, but that's just from the first website I found on google, but you can probably find them cheaper. They car supposed to come with everything to install them.

Re: 1994 fog lights
That's probably not too bad of a deal, but if the bulbs are as cheap as I found I think I would rather just go with replacement bulbs.
